How to use this estimator
Mold remediation is usually priced by the affected square footage, with a per-foot rate that climbs based on what materials are involved. Enter a rough size for the affected area, choose how deep the problem goes, and check the boxes for black/toxic-appearing mold or AC/HVAC involvement if they apply. You'll get a typical Kissimmee–area range.
What the numbers mean
Surface only covers cleaning mold off hard, non-porous materials like tile and sealed walls — the cheapest tier. Porous materials means removing and replacing drywall, carpet, and insulation that mold has gotten into. Structural involves framing, subfloor, or sheathing — demolition, drying, and rebuild, the priciest tier.
Black or toxic-appearing mold adds a containment and disposal premium. AC/HVAC involvement adds the cost of cleaning or replacing contaminated coils and ductwork, which can run several thousand dollars on its own.
Why this is only a starting point
A calculator can't see your home. The real price depends on access, the moisture source, how far hidden moisture has spread, and lab results — which is why the only accurate number comes from an on-site assessment.
